NICO at Home with Zoe Creagan
How was the shoot for you?
Fun and beautiful. My partner and myself took a glass of wine and our kelpie to a dune nearby our camp on the desert coastline below Exmouth. It felt natural playing around with Chris (fiancé) and Stevie(doggo), running up and down the dunes by the sea.
What does self care look like for you?
At the moment... a hot shower and clean underwear!
But other than that probably time alone. I really enjoy my own time to debrief with myself.
How are you finding life on the road?
It is challenging at times, it really isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. But for the most part it is so special. Every day I pinch myself in disbelief and I have to remember to enjoy every moment.
What is the most magical place you’ve been on your travels?
The most magical place is a 3-way tie between:
Uluru, in the early hours of the morning before the crowd arrives.
On the Ningaloo coast where the sea is just alive with whales, turtles, dolphins, manta rays, sharks, fish, dugongs and sea birds.
And Karijini national park with stunning gorges filled with fresh water to cool you from the heat of the day.
Travel has a way of challenging our ideas about the world - what has been most surprising or enlightening for you on this trip?
I thought about this question a lot as I didn’t want to ruffle any feathers but what the hay!
I think I always wanted to have a stable job/income/house but I have really learnt that life, for me, is so much more than that. I have come to realise that I don’t want the “daily grind” and I’ll take this lesson learnt home with me.
Where are you heading to next?
Back to Karijini national park! We didn’t get enough of it the first time so heading back there to soak up some fresh water gorge swims before ducking down south towards Margaret River.
